Welcome
On behalf of the New York University SOM, New York University Pre-Med, and Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine APAMSA chapters, we are excited to invite you to attend APAMSAs 2019 National Conference. It will be held on October 4th-6th at the New York University School of Medicine! The goal of this conference is to connect pre-health and health students across the country in addressing and analyzing a variety of health topics both socioeconomically and culturally pertinent to the Asian and Pacific Islander American (APIA) community.

This year, the National Conferences theme is The Land of Opportunity: Breaking the Barriers in APIA Healthcare, which shines a spotlight on the evolving landscape of healthcare and how representation of APIA physicians in leadership positions play an important role in this change. Paralleling the glass ceiling in other fields, there also exists similar barriers in APIA leadership in various healthcare disciplines. Join us for our 3-day conference and experience how you can be the next generation of leaders that advocate for APIA health in your communities.

A special thanks to the amazing group of speakers and panelists that have taken the time to attend our conference. Hailing from multiple disciplines, it is a privilege to hear from these leaders as they share their experience, knowledge, and wisdom with us today. They will cover a wide variety of topics, all of which are relevant to APIA communities and patients across the nation. It is our hope that the information presented will help you engage patients in your future careers and practice the best medicine possible for our community.

Lastly, this conference is open to everyone! APAMSA is an inclusive organization, so we encourage anyone and everyone to attend. Whether you are a medical, public health, pharmacy, dental or pre-health student, an APAMSA member, a community member, etc. WELCOME!

We cant wait for you to join us and meet everyone this fall!
