The Team
Justin Chin, OMS-IV
Greetings APAMSA! My name is Justin Chin and I am a fourth year medical student from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York. Originally from San Francisco, California, I have always been surrounded by the rich culture and diversity that makes up the Asian and Pacific Islander community. Coming to medical school, I established an APAMSA chapter at my institution, was a regional director for NY/NJ, and now serve as your External Vice President this year.
I hope you will enjoy the amazing conference we have planned for you this year!

YaQun (Arlene) Zhou, OMS-III
Hello APAMSA! Being brought up in China for half of my childhood then Brooklyn for the rest, it really showed me the difference in culture not only within society but within medicine as well. I have been involved in APAMSA for the past year as chapter national liaison and it had been such an enriching experience meeting people and learning from conference and events. That’s why I am so excited to take part in planning the next national conference as the Touro representative and hope to work in carrying on the success of the previous national conferences.

Alice Cheng
Hi everyone! My name is Alice and I am a recent graduate from New York University. I was formerly president of the undergraduate chapter of APAMSA at NYU. I hail from a small town in southeast Connecticut. When I’m not working, I enjoy happy hour, painting, traveling, and trying new foods. Can’t wait to see everyone in NYC!!

Wenqi Qiu
Hey everyone! My name is Wenqi and I’m a senior at NYU Premed. I’ve been involved in my chapter for the past three years and APAMSA has been a pivotal part of my undergrad experience. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to organize this year’s national conference and I hope to make it the best one yet!

Lily Cao, MS3
Hi! My name is Lily Cao and I am excited to serve as one of the National Conference Directors. I grew up in New York State before attending Washington University in St. Louis, where I majored in biology/neuroscience and graduated in 2016. Fun fact- I was a member of an Asian-interest acapella group called the Sensasians! I am now a second year medical student at NYU and enjoying life in NYC. I hope that my fellow co-directors and I can plan an amazing conference for you all to attend. Looking forward to meeting and working with you all!
